Senior Software Engineer - . NET
About the role
This role is for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in .NET technologies at a leading IT company. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality enterprise applications using .NET, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and optimizing application and database performance. Responsibilities include leading technical design, mentoring junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating AI development tools. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET development, along with proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and related technologies. The contract duration is 6 months, and the working hours follow the UK Time Zone (GMT).
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Razor Pages.
- Expertise in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, RESTful APIs, and database optimization.
- Experience with microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and software design patterns.
- Knowledge of Azure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git.
- Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple tech stacks and programming languages.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control.
Nice to have
- Experience with React, Docker, Kubernetes or message brokers is an added advantage.
- A strong advantage will be experience with front-end technologies and cloud platforms.
