Senior Salesforce Engineer
About the role
The Senior Salesforce Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting scalable Salesforce applications, with a focus on Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ. The role involves translating business requirements into secure and maintainable solutions, supporting the team through code reviews, technical guidance, and ensuring reliable releases. Key responsibilities include developing and enhancing Salesforce applications, configuring Salesforce CPQ and Advanced Approvals, building Apex classes and Lightning components, designing integrations with external systems, managing CI/CD deployments, and mentoring junior developers. The position requires strong experience in Salesforce development, particularly with CPQ, and several Salesforce certifications.
Must have
- At least 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ experience.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce platform development.
- Hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ and Advanced Approvals configuration and customization.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs or web services.
- Experience with Copado or a comparable Salesforce CI/CD and release management tool.
- Understanding of Salesforce security, governor limits, bulk processing, testing, and deployment practices.
- Ability to interpret functional requirements and communicate technical solutions clearly.
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification.
- Salesforce CPQ certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist or current equivalent).
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a technical lead or senior developer on Salesforce projects.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II certification.
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification.
- Copado certification.
- Salesforce Architect certification.
- Experience with source control and modern software delivery practices.
- Familiarity with newer Salesforce platform capabilities, including Agentforce, where relevant.
