Data Engineer
About the role
Intervest is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The role involves developing and optimizing data warehouse solutions, implementing efficient data pipelines using SQL and Python, and supporting cloud-based ELT/ETL processes. The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support the BI team with data requests, and ensure data availability and quality across the organization. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering. Intervest is a growing technology and services provider based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, serving the Staysure Group and affiliated brands.
Must have
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance and data transformations.
- Experience in building and delivering data marts and data warehouses solutions.
- Development of data ingestion pipelines and robust ETL frameworks. Implementation of data cleansing and data quality features in ETL pipelines.
- Experience in documenting low level ETL designs.
- Proficiency in using CI/CD tools and any data orchestration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to stay updated Enthused by with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and keen to continuously improve skills through self-learning and professional development opportunities.
