Associate Technical Lead / Technical Lead (AI/ML & C++)
About the role
Tetherfi is seeking an Associate Technical Lead or Technical Lead specializing in AI/ML and C++ to join their team in Sri Lanka. The role involves leading and collaborating with a research and development team to enhance existing products and develop new ones, focusing on innovative AI/ML solutions. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale software and AI/ML solutions, conducting research, preparing demos and prototypes, and mentoring team members. Candidates should have a strong background in software engineering, data structures, and software architecture, with proficiency in C++ and Python, and experience in AI/ML technologies and cloud platforms.
Must have
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in the field of software engineering and research.
- Understanding of data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.
- Deep knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
- Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Python and C++.
- Strong proficiency in C++, with experience developing software for AI/ML or other computationally intensive applications.
- Fluent in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience in AI/ML technologies and familiarity with contemporary cloud architectures, virtualization, and containerization methods, tools, and techniques.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
- Good understanding of design patterns.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages quickly.
- Experience working on large-scale software projects.
- Working knowledge of building deep learning, NLP, and computer vision models for classification, object detection, and related applications.
- Proficient in AWS/GCP cloud platforms, with exposure to fetching, processing, and integrating data from various sources.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications is an added advantage.
