Junior QA Engineer
About the role
Avya Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior QA Engineer to join their team. The role involves reviewing software requirements, preparing and maintaining test cases, performing various types of testing (functional, regression, integration, UI, usability), and testing web and mobile applications across different devices. The Junior QA Engineer will identify and report software defects, re-test resolved issues, and work closely with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure product quality. The position offers hands-on experience with real software projects and exposure to professional QA processes, with opportunities for learning and career development.
Must have
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of test case preparation and bug reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand system requirements and identify potential issues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and testing techniques.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of API testing, database testing, or automation testing would be an added advantage.
