Research Assistant
About the role
The Research Assistant (RA) will join a research project focused on leptospirosis risk forecasting in Sri Lanka, involving climate-health modelling. The role includes supporting analysis, modelling, and research dissemination, with responsibilities such as data acquisition, cleaning, management, statistical and spatial-temporal analysis, supporting forecasting model development, and assisting with reports and manuscripts. Candidates should have a degree in Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field, and programming skills in R or Python. The position is based in Colombo and offers opportunities to co-author scientific publications and potentially pursue an MPhil, subject to university approval.
Must have

- Programming skills in R or Python.
- Good communication and ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with statistical modelling and time-series analysis (an advantage).
