Lead Data Engineer
About the role
The Lead Data Engineer role focuses on building robust data marts, developing complex stored procedures, and working with Python and SQL for data engineering tasks. The position also involves Power BI reporting and requires experience with Snowflake as a working tool. Key responsibilities include data modeling, pipeline development, and leveraging AWS services for storage and orchestration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and business intelligence visualization. Experience with data science is considered an added advantage. Must have
- SQL & Procedural Programming: Expert-level SQL / T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Data Mart design, Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Masking
- Programming & Pipelines: Python / PySpark, ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC (Change Data Capture), Incremental Loading
- BI & Visualization: Power BI (dashboard development, report building, data modeling)
- Storage & Orchestration: AWS S3, AWS Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, Fivetran
- Cloud Data Warehousing: Snowflake (ability to query, load, and work within the platform)
