DIGITAL PRODUCT DESIGNER
About the role
UVAVEC is seeking a Digital Product Designer based in Sri Lanka to transform business problems and complex workflows into user-friendly digital products. The role involves understanding user needs, improving prototypes, creating high-quality UI designs, building reusable components, and collaborating closely with developers and product leadership. Candidates should have strong UI/UX fundamentals, experience with Figma, prototyping, information architecture, and interaction design, as well as knowledge of responsive design and design systems. HTML/CSS knowledge is required, and familiarity with React is advantageous. The position offers exposure to real business challenges, ownership of design decisions, and close collaboration with engineers.
Must have
- Strong UI/UX fundamentals and experience designing real digital products.
- Strong Figma, prototyping, information architecture, and interaction-design skills.
- Knowledge of responsive design and design systems.
- HTML/CSS knowledge; React familiarity is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, explain design decisions, and collaborate with developers.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant experience, supported by a strong portfolio. Relevant qualifications are preferred, but practical experience is also accepted.

- Experience using AI tools to support research, prototyping, design exploration, and development is valued.

Highlights
The role is mostly remote but requires occasional in-person meetings in Sri Lanka. Salary ranges from LKR 80,000 to 200,000 per month, depending on experience and capability. Experience with AI tools for design is valued. A strong portfolio is required, and both relevant qualifications and practical experience are considered.
