Oracle Apps DBA
About the role
The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for administering Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 environments, including database, application tier, and WebLogic components. Key duties include installing, upgrading, and migrating Oracle Databases to 19c or later, applying patches, implementing and supporting Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure, and managing backup and disaster recovery with RMAN and Data Guard. The role also involves environment cloning, performance tuning, supporting migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and providing production support with on-call rotation. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least three years of hands-on Oracle EBS Apps DBA experience, OCP certification in Oracle Database 19c or later, and strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is considered an advantage.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS Apps DBA, working with R12.1 and/or R12.2 environments.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification in Oracle Database 19c or a later version.
- Proven experience in upgrading, patching, and migrating Oracle Databases and EBS environments.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication, documentation, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work region-specific hours and provide on-call support and after-hours maintenance when required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an added advantage.
