About the role
The Visiting Lecturer - Computer Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU) Sri Lanka is responsible for teaching and learning in ECU programs at the Kandy campus. The role involves delivering lectures in Software Engineering and Cyber Security, conducting tutorials, supporting students, managing course sites, assessing student work, and maintaining academic integrity. The position requires preparation and delivery of coursework, collaboration with staff, and involvement in student development. Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's qualification in Software Engineering or Cyber Security, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and at least five years of relevant teaching experience. Experience in teaching at the tertiary level and working with students from diverse cultures is essential. The role is part of ECU Sri Lanka, the first Australian university campus in Sri Lanka, offering authentic Australian education.
Must have
- A minimum Master’s qualification in Software Engineering or Cyber Security including a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least five years of relevant teaching experience.
- A record of successful classroom teaching/lecturing at the tertiary level.
- Proven experience in teaching students from diverse cultures.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and a proven self-starter.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in working in an international education environment.
- Member of a related professional body.
