Associate Technical Lead - IBM CP4BA Development & Integration
About the role
The Associate Technical Lead - IBM CP4BA Development & Integration will lead the design, development, and delivery of business automation solutions on the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) platform, deployed on Red Hat OpenShift. The role involves translating business requirements into robust workflows, APIs, microservices, and integration patterns, as well as guiding and mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and driving development across the IBM automation suite. Key responsibilities include technical leadership, workflow development, enterprise integration, multi-component stack engineering, and collaboration with platform operations teams. The position requires deep expertise in IBM BAW, backend engineering with Java and Spring Boot, database design, and container/DevOps concepts. Must have
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related discipline (a Master's degree is a strong advantage).
- Workflow & Automation Mastery: Deep hands-on development expertise in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and experience delivering solutions on IBM CP4BA in containerized (Red Hat OpenShift) environments.
- Backend Engineering & Web Tech: Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SOAP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS capabilities.
- Database Design: Solid knowledge of IBM DB2, SQL, relational database design, indexing, and transactional integrity.
- Container & DevOps Concepts: Practical exposure to OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, source control, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Technical Ownership: Demonstrated experience performing code reviews, leading complex integration troubleshooting,
Nice to have
- Event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on development experience with FileNet, ODM/ADS, Datacap, BAI, or RPA technologies.
- Integration experience with IBM AS400/RPG, DB2 iSeries, or AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3).
- Identity & Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, and Google Workspace integration.
- Relevant certifications in IBM Automation Red Hat OpenShift, (BAW/CP4BA/FileNet/ODM), Java/Spring, or Integration Architecture.
