Full-Stack Developer Intern (Frontend and Mobile)
About the role
Healplace LLC is seeking a Full-Stack Developer Intern (Frontend and Mobile) for a 6-month, full-time internship based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves working on real healthcare software products, building responsive web interfaces with React and Next.js, turning Figma designs into working screens, developing mobile app versions, building and testing backend APIs, and collaborating with experienced engineers. Candidates should be university students or recent graduates in computer science or related fields, with a good understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NextJs, Tailwind CSS, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design. The position offers mentoring, real product experience, and the possibility of a longer-term role.
Must have
- Studying for or recently finished a degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field.
- A good understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript, React, NextJs, Tailwind CSS, HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of React Native and Expo.
- Good understanding of responsive web design.
- Creative thinking and a good eye for UI/UX design.
- Understanding of REST APIs and database basics.
- Comfortable with Git and GitHub.
- Good problem-solving skills and clear written English.
- Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and an IP assignment. You will work only in development environments, with all code reviewed. You will not have access to production systems or patient data.

- A plus: Node.js and NestJS, Figma and a good eye for design.
