Senior Software Engineer (.NET)
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer (.NET) role at PetDesk focuses on identifying, reproducing, and fixing bugs in both customer-facing web applications and internal tools. The position is hands-on, requiring the engineer to work through the entire bug resolution process, from initial report to deploying a tested fix in production. The role involves working with a mix of older and newer codebases, including large backend files, server-rendered pages, React components, legacy jQuery, and complex SQL databases. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, writing and reviewing code, maintaining clear Jira tickets, and collaborating with team members to clarify and resolve issues. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, managing their own ticket queue, and communicating technical findings clearly. PetDesk provides tools for veterinary clinics and pet parents, and the company emphasizes a fair and standardized hiring process.

- Solid SQL skills (SQL Server preferred, PostgreSQL is fine), including writing queries to investigate issues and understanding ORM data models
