Software Engineer, Professional Senior
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer at Zebra will join the scanner tools team to design, develop, and maintain Windows-based desktop applications and SDK components that support Zebra's device integration ecosystem. The role involves hands-on development using C++, C#, and .NET, debugging complex issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, and participating in code reviews, testing, and release documentation. The position also includes investigating and remediating security vulnerabilities as part of the release cycle. Candidates should have a strong background in Windows application development, software design principles, and effective communication skills. Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of software development experience, focused on Windows.
- Strong C/C++/C#/.NET skills and understanding of Windows OS internals.
- Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
- Strong debugging and communication skills.
Nice to have
- SDK/driver-level or hardware integration experience.
- CI/CD and cross-platform (Linux/Android) exposure.
