Data Analyst Specialist
About the role
The Data Analytics & Automation Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions, dashboards, SharePoint platforms, and workflow automations to enhance business efficiency and decision-making within a financial services context. Key duties include building Power BI reports, writing SQL queries, managing SharePoint sites, automating business processes with Power Automate, and supporting internal teams with practical data and automation solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in data analytics, business process automation, reporting, or internal systems support, as well as strong technical skills in SharePoint, SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate. The position is remote and based in Sri Lanka, with opportunities for contract or permanent employment.
Must have
- Hands-on experience in data analytics, business process automation, reporting, or internal systems support.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts related to data analytics, databases, and business automation.
- Proven experience with SharePoint, including site creation, list and library management, permissions, and configuration.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including queries, joins, stored procedures, and data extraction.
- Solid experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Good knowledge of DAX, data modelling, visualizations, and dashboard development.
- Practical experience designing automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint integrations.
- Good understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to break down complex business problems into manageable technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Proactive, organized, and willing to learn new tools and technologies.
- Strong focus on improving business efficiency through data, automation, and digital tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power Apps will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of data governance and data privacy principles will be an advantage.
- Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, or related certifications will be preferred.

Highlights
