QA Engineer

About the role

Akvasoft is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team building production software for SaaS startups and scaleups. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the quality of the products you work on, from the initial working version through to production. Key responsibilities include writing and maintaining automated tests (end-to-end, API, regression), performing manual testing where necessary, and collaborating directly with founders and engineers to identify and resolve issues before they reach customers. The position requires experience testing shipped web applications, automation skills with Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools, API testing, and basic scripting in JavaScript or Python. You should be comfortable reading code, filing clear bugs, and advocating for quality. Akvasoft offers small teams, direct founder contact, and real ownership of your work.
