Senior Software Developer-Colombo
About the role
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance software applications. The role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, taking ownership of complex projects, writing maintainable code, reviewing code for standards compliance, and resolving technical issues. The developer will mentor junior and mid-level team members, collaborate with various stakeholders, contribute to system architecture, and stay updated on emerging technologies. Candidates should have a relevant degree, significant experience in software development, and strong technical and leadership skills. The position is offered by Konnectnet Human Resource Services and is based in Colombo.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in software development, preferably in a senior development role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, databases, APIs, and web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments will be an advantage.
