AS 400 Engineer
About the role
The AS400 Engineer role involves supporting and maintaining critical customer IT environments, specifically focusing on Power Systems and AS/400 infrastructure. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, handling customer service requests, performing on-site hardware troubleshooting and repairs, supporting system hardware and software installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance, as well as managing spare parts and inventory. The engineer will work closely with customers, internal technical teams, and the Technical Support Services Team to ensure smooth operations and contractual compliance.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field
- 1+ year of experience in AS400, Power Systems, or a similar IT environment
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with customers and technical teams
- Willingness to provide on-site technical support when required
