Trainee System Administrator
About the role
DMS Software Engineering is seeking a Trainee System Administrator to join their IT team. This role is ideal for school leavers and undergraduates interested in IT infrastructure and system administration, offering hands-on experience in a professional environment. The position involves assisting with the maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, servers, and IT equipment, supporting network infrastructure, maintaining operating systems and business applications, providing technical support to employees, and performing routine system checks and audits. Candidates should have a strong interest in IT, basic familiarity with Windows 10/11, and general troubleshooting skills. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are also important.
Must have
- Open to school leavers, IT diploma holders, and undergraduates in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A strong interest in IT infrastructure, computer hardware, networking, and system administration.
- Basic familiarity with Windows 10/11 and general computer troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware repairs will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of networking, CCTV, and access control systems is desirable.
- Microsoft or other relevant IT certifications will be an added advantage.
