Tech Lead – Network Security
About the role
The Tech Lead – Network Security is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network security solutions, focusing on SD-WAN, SASE, and next-generation firewall technologies. The role involves hands-on technical leadership, driving network security projects from design to delivery, acting as a trusted advisor to customers, and providing guidance to engineering teams. Key responsibilities include designing and deploying secure network architectures, managing firewall and security platforms, leading project delivery, supporting pre-sales activities, mentoring engineers, resolving critical incidents, and maintaining technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto products, relevant certifications, and strong pre-sales and client-facing skills.
Must have
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- 6–7 years of experience working with enterprise network and network security technologies.
- Expert skills in Fortinet, Palo Alto and other tier-one network security products.
- Experience working in managed services models, including SLA-driven support and service delivery.
- All relevant Fortinet and Palo Alto certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE / FCP / FCSS, Palo Alto PCNSE).
- Strong pre-sales skills, including requirement gathering, solution design and technical presentations.
- Ability to work independently and deliver requirements on time.
- Ability to work closely with clients to identify their problems and propose suitable solutions.
- Ability to work with support teams to guide them and improve their processes and technical capability.
Nice to have
- Other networking and security certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP) will be an added advantage.
