About the role
Luminex PLC is seeking a Technical Officer for telecom projects to be based full-time on-site in the Jaffna District. The role involves supervising and coordinating daily telecom installation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety, and regulatory standards. The Technical Officer will provide technical support to field teams, assist in troubleshooting telecom equipment and network issues, maintain project documentation, and liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve technical concerns and support quality assurance.
Must have
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data, diagnose issues, and support decision-making in telecom projects.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, contractors, and clients, and for preparing clear technical reports.
- Experience in technical support within telecom or related engineering environments, including basic troubleshooting and equipment handling.
- Customer service orientation to address client inquiries professionally and ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Relevant technical or laboratory skills applicable to field testing, equipment calibration, and verification of telecom installations.
- Diploma or degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with telecom infrastructure, network components, and industry safety standards.
- Ability to work on-site in the Jaffna District, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks under project timelines.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and project documentation tools.
