Senior Go (Golang) Developer
About the role
The Senior Go Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems. This role involves leading backend architectural decisions, optimizing concurrent microservices, and ensuring system reliability and low latency. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-grade applications, and will also provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers. Key responsibilities include backend service development in Go, performance optimization, API and system integration, code quality assurance, DevOps collaboration, and technical guidance. Candidates should have significant experience in Go, backend development, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and API design.
Must have
- 4+ years of professional backend software development, with 3+ years dedicated to Go
- Deep understanding of Go internals, memory management, garbage collection, and concurrency execution models.
- Strong proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS), and microservices patterns.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in RESTful API design, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
- Strong grasp of SOLID principles, clean architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with distributed tracing and observability tools.
- Background in high-throughput or real-time event-streaming environments.
