Business Analyst
About the role
The Business Analyst position at SMR Consolidated involves supporting informed business decisions through the analysis of financial and operational data. Key responsibilities include preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports, generating periodic and ad hoc management reports, and providing financial insights to improve operational performance and profitability. The role requires a strong financial background and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. SMR Consolidated is a leading coconut oil exporter in Sri Lanka, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment focused on sustainability, ethical sourcing, and continuous improvement.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Statistics, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Part qualification in CA / ACCA / CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG sector).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, financial modeling, and data analysis).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
