Full Stack Software Engineer (AI-powered Applications)
About the role
This role is for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join an Australian client, working on AI-powered web applications. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable frontend and backend systems using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, as well as integrating AI models and services. The engineer will also work with various databases, cloud platforms, and modern software architectures, collaborating with international teams and stakeholders. The company specializes in building dedicated remote teams for Australian and US businesses, focusing on quality and long-term partnerships.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience building full stack applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience building AI powered applications, chatbots, AI agents, automations, or workflow solutions.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, third party integrations, and modern software architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Vercel, Railway, or similar.
- Strong English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI model integrations, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) is an advantage.
