COMPUTER SCIENCE TUTOR (TAMIL-SPEAKING)
About the role
Langford College is seeking a part-time IT Tutor to deliver online teaching for Qualifi Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications in Information Technology. The role involves teaching IT modules in Tamil, preparing lesson plans and learning materials, guiding students through assignments, providing academic support and feedback, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate records. The tutor will also participate in academic meetings and coordinate with the academic team as needed. Applicants should have a relevant degree, strong knowledge of IT subjects, fluency in Tamil, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with UK qualification frameworks are advantageous. The position is remote and requires a reliable internet connection and computer access.
Must have
- A degree or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of IT subjects relevant to Qualifi Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
- Fluency in Tamil, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and student-support skills.
- Ability to conduct engaging online classes and meet academic deadlines.
- A reliable internet connection and access to a computer.
Nice to have
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring higher-level IT qualifications is an advantage.
- Familiarity with assignment-based assessment and UK qualification frameworks is desirable.
