Head of Security Operations Center
About the role
The Head of Security Operations Center (SOC) is responsible for defining and executing the SOC strategy, overseeing 24x7 operations, and leading incident response for critical cyber security events. The role includes managing SOC governance, service delivery, budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, and ensuring service quality and profitability. The position also involves partnering with sales and business development teams to expand managed security offerings and supporting customer engagements. Candidates must have a strong background in cyber security, particularly in SOC or Managed Security Services leadership, and expertise in relevant technologies and frameworks.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of Cyber Security experience, including at least 5 years in SOC or Managed Security Services leadership.
- Strong expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security.
- Strong understanding of ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, cyber security governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing budgets, resources, SLAs, vendor relationships, and service profitability.
Nice to have
- CISSP, CISM, GIAC, ITIL, ISO 27001, Cloud Security, or other industry-recognized certifications.
- Postgraduate qualification in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Management.
