Quality Engineering Lead
About the role
The Quality Engineering Lead at Insighture will be responsible for designing and executing risk-based test scenarios, performing both manual and automated testing, and leading the verification of complex product workflows, reporting modules, and data pipelines. The role involves building and maintaining automated test suites for UI and API, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, conducting performance and load tests, and utilizing AI tools to enhance testing efficiency. The position also requires strong SQL skills for backend data validation, planning and executing cross-squad system integration testing, and championing quality practices within the team. Candidates should have significant experience in both manual and automated QA, proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks, and hands-on experience with modern tooling and cross-team testing.
Must have
- 6+ years of total QA experience, demonstrating a strong balance between hands-on manual testing and test automation.
- Hands-on UI & API Automation: Practical coding proficiency in C# / .NET or Java (alongside TypeScript/JavaScript) using frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, plus REST/GraphQL API testing (REST Assured, Postman, or native HTTP client libraries).
- Strong SQL & Data Testing: Proven ability to query relational databases to validate complex calculation engines, data transformations, and reporting outputs.
- Modern Tooling & CI/CD: Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipeline integration (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins), and Jira-based test management (Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail).
- Cross-Squad SIT Execution: Hands-on experience executing end-to-end SIT cycles across squad boundaries, validating shared APIs/data flows, and driving defect triage directly with engineers
