Senior UAT Test Analyst
About the role
The Senior UAT Test Analyst at Intervest is responsible for leading and governing end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities within an Agile delivery environment. The role involves planning and coordinating UAT aligned with sprint cycles, collaborating with Product Owners and Business Analysts, designing and executing UAT scenarios, and ensuring solutions meet defined business requirements. The analyst will also oversee regulatory and governance compliance, manage defects, engage stakeholders, report on UAT progress, and mentor junior team members. The position requires strong experience in manual software testing, leadership in UAT, and proficiency with Agile methodologies and test management tools. Intervest is a global delivery hub based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, serving the Staysure Group and other ventures within the Howsam Capital ecosystem.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of experience in manual software testing, including demonstrable leadership within UAT activities.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Advanced experience designing and leading UAT execution aligned to user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Practical application of exploratory and risk-based testing techniques.
- Experience creating structured UAT test plans, dashboards, and release reports.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, XRay or equivalent).
- Ability to write clear, concise, and business-impact-focused defect reports.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory validation requirements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capability.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and make sound judgement calls.
- Confident stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- Mentorship and coaching capability.
- High level of accountability for delivery outcomes and deadlines.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in evolving Agile environments.
- Growth-oriented mindset with commitment to continuous improvement.
