Junior Software Engineer
About the role
TryU is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their team focused on developing AI-powered retail technology. The role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of the TryU virtual try-on platform and associated web services. Responsibilities include implementing backend features, writing clean and maintainable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating AI-powered components, and supporting system performance and reliability. Candidates should have a strong computer science foundation, experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#, and knowledge of backend web development and version control. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
Must have
- Strong Computer Science foundation including data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.
- Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, C# or similar.
- Backend web development including APIs, databases and server-side frameworks.
- Knowledge of OOP and modular, maintainable code.
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Quick learner, strong teamwork and clear communication skills.
Nice to have
- Al, computer vision or e-commerce experience is a plus.
