AI Software Engineer intern
About the role
As an AI Software Engineer Intern at CodeXpro Solutions, you will assist in designing, developing, and testing AI-powered software features and tools. The role involves supporting the building and refinement of machine learning models, particularly focusing on neural networks and pattern recognition, and integrating these models into production applications. Responsibilities include writing maintainable code, conducting experiments, analyzing data, documenting findings, and collaborating with senior engineers on AI and NLP projects. The position is full-time and based on-site in Colombo, offering the opportunity to learn best practices in software engineering and AI deployment within a collaborative team environment.
Must have
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, with interest in machine learning model design and evaluation.
- Experience or coursework in Software Development, using languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively in a team environment, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, or data pipelines is beneficial.
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML through projects, coursework, internships, or open-source contributions is an advantage.
