About the role
Verdentra is seeking a Quality Engineer (Automation) to join their team of expert technologists focused on building responsible technology solutions in Cloud, Data, AI, and emerging technologies. The role involves working closely with engineering and product teams to understand systems and requirements, designing and executing test strategies, building and maintaining automated test frameworks, and continuously improving quality practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software testing principles, experience with APIs and databases, and exposure to test automation and CI/CD environments. The company values proactive, solution-oriented individuals who can influence quality throughout the development process.
Must have
- Someone who thinks beyond test cases and seeks to understand how systems and users behave
- An individual who takes ownership and approaches problems with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical thinking, with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively
- A solid foundation in software testing principles, across manual and/or automated testing
- Comfortable working with APIs, databases, and system interactions
- Exposure to test automation and CI/CD environments, with the ability to contribute to or build frameworks depending on experience
- An understanding of broader quality considerations such as performance, scalability, and reliability
Nice to have
- Exposure to AI-driven testing tools and AI-based automation frameworks will be an added advantage
