About the role
The Senior Software Engineer (.NET) role involves developing and maintaining scalable, enterprise-level software solutions using modern technologies such as C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Azure. Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing databases, building RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring code quality, leading technical design, mentoring junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, leveraging AI-powered tools, and working across diverse tech stacks. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, over 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, and strong knowledge of relevant frameworks and tools. The role offers remote or flexible work arrangements and operates in the UK time zone.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
- Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Experience with microservices and DDD.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq).
- Knowledge of Azure, CI/CD, Git and version control.
Nice to have
- Front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and React (advantage).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, message brokers (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) is a plus.
- Adaptability to work across multiple tech stacks and programming languages.
