Full‑Stack Developer
About the role
TECEZE is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join their engineering team in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The role involves designing, building, and operating modern web applications using React.js for the front end, Node.js for backend services, and MongoDB along with other databases for storage. The developer will also use Python for services, scripting, or data processing as needed. Key responsibilities include owning features end-to-end, implementing both front-end and back-end components, writing tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience, strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js, production experience with Node.js, hands-on expertise with MongoDB and at least one relational database, and working knowledge of Python. Experience with CI/CD, Docker, cloud deployments, and testing frameworks is also required.
Must have
- 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience (we’re open to strong candidates outside this range).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js for front‑end development.
- Production experience building APIs with Node.js (Express/Fastify/NestJS) and designing database models.
- Hands‑on expertise with MongoDB plus experience with at least one relational DB (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
- Working knowledge of Python for services, scripting, or data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, cookies, CORS, caching, accessibility, performance).
- Experience with CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), and deploying to a major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and a track record of shipping well‑tested code.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, clean code practices, and effective communication in English.
