Software Engineering Intern – Full-Stack Development
About the role
This is a 3- to 6-month remote internship opportunity for a Software Engineering Intern focused on full-stack development at an early-stage technology startup in Sri Lanka. The intern will help develop a custom cloud-based POS application and modern business websites, working across frontend, backend, database, and API layers. The role involves building features for sales, inventory, and reporting, as well as integrating websites with APIs and the POS platform. Applicants should have a good understanding of web technologies, backend development, databases, and version control. The internship is open to undergraduates, recent graduates, and self-taught developers with strong project experience. There is a possibility of a full-time position based on performance.
Must have
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with React / Next.js or similar
- Basic backend development knowledge (Node.js, Python, .NET, Java, etc.)
- Understanding of SQL and databases
- Familiarity with REST APIs and Git/GitHub
- Good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and take ownership

Highlights
