Research Scientist- Intern (Cheminformatics/Bioinformatics)
About the role
This is a 6-month computational research internship focused on structure-guided peptide design and computational modelling for plant disease management. The intern will participate in a project that investigates the design and optimization of peptide-based candidates targeting virulence-associated proteins in plant pathogens. Key activities include AI-assisted peptide design, protein structure analysis, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and computational modelling of peptide interactions with nanoparticles. The role also involves developing automated bioinformatics and cheminformatics workflows for screening and analysis. Applicants should have an undergraduate or graduate background in relevant life sciences or chemistry fields, and basic knowledge or project experience in cheminformatics or bioinformatics.
