About the role
Surge Global is seeking a Data Science & Advanced Analytics Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, and optimization solutions. The role involves shaping and executing the organization's analytics strategy, leading end-to-end model lifecycles, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will partner with senior leadership, mentor a high-performing data science team, and champion innovation and analytics maturity across the organization. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and supports both local and international clients across various industries.
Must have
- A Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Advanced Analytics, Statistics & Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and delivering end-to-end Data Science and Advanced Analytics initiatives.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Experience in leading, mentoring or managing Data Science teams and projects will be an added advantage.
- Experience in a banking or financial services environment will be an added advantage.
