Software Engineer
About the role
Authentz is seeking a Software Engineer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join their engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production-grade software, with a focus on backend services using Java and Spring Boot, as well as modern web applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. The engineer will also work with Python for automation and integrations, handle relational databases, and contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployment processes. The company is building a technology platform for educational institutions to streamline admissions and workflow automation. Candidates should have a strong understanding of REST APIs, application security, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
Must have
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Good experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Working experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.
- Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong Git and pull-request workflow experience.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
