Trainee Developers - Odoo
About the role
This entry-level, full-time, on-site position at SoftServe in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka is for Trainee Developers focused on Odoo ERP development. The role involves developing and customizing Odoo modules, writing clean code, maintaining documentation, optimizing systems, executing integrations and migrations, supporting upgrades, conducting testing, collaborating with senior developers, troubleshooting, and providing user support and training. Candidates should have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, basic Python and object-oriented programming knowledge, familiarity with databases and web technologies, exposure to ERP systems and Odoo, and basic Git knowledge. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Basic knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL (an advantage).
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML).
- Exposure to ERP systems and Odoo (an advantage).
- Basic knowledge of Git or version control systems.
- Internship or project experience related to Odoo/ERP (a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-starter with a passion for software development.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to take feedback and improve.
