Junior Web Developer
About the role
Brand Factory is seeking Junior Web Developers to join their team in Galle. The role involves building, launching, and maintaining client websites using AI-powered tools and modern web technologies. Key responsibilities include working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Next.js, as well as managing website content and ensuring good user experience and design. The position is office-based and suitable for fresh graduates or self-taught developers, with no prior professional experience required. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to use AI tools for development tasks.
Must have
- Sound practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Next.js.
- Good understanding of layouts, typography and user experience.
- Ability to use Claude, Codex or ChatGPT with clear, structured prompts.
- Working knowledge of website content management.
- Out-of-the-box thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and teamwork.
Nice to have
- React, TypeScript or Payload CMS; knowledge of APIs, Git, DNS, hosting, deployment or SEO; personal, academic, freelance or professional web projects.
- Related experience is an added advantage.
