About the role

The Marketing Intern role at Veyrion is an on-site position in Colombo, ideal for individuals currently studying or who have completed studies in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. The intern will support marketing, business development, sales, and relationship-building activities, including researching potential customers, identifying business opportunities, connecting with clients, and promoting Veyrion’s technology solutions. Responsibilities also include assisting with digital marketing, preparing proposals, and supporting sales and brand awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate is outgoing, confident, proactive, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have

Currently studying or have completed studies in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outgoing, confident, and comfortable approaching new people, initiating conversations, and building meaningful relationships.
Strong interpersonal, networking, and persuasion skills, with a genuine interest in sales and business development.
Able to communicate ideas clearly, present solutions confidently, and engage different audiences.
Proactive, resourceful, organized, and willing to take initiative.
Strong research skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Nice to have

Familiarity with designing platforms, social media platforms, and basic digital marketing tools.
Experience or involvement in sales, marketing, networking, customer engagement, event coordination, or business development.
Exposure to lead generation, prospecting, CRM tools, or B2B sales and marketing.
Interest in technology, software products, and business solutions.
Experience participating in university societies, events, or other activities involving communication, networking, and relationship-building.
