Quality Assurance Lead
About the role
Data Capture Experts (DCE) is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to oversee software quality for their healthcare platforms. The role involves leading the QA team, driving test automation, improving testing practices, and ensuring software releases meet high quality standards. The QA Lead will define and improve testing processes, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, manage release quality, and mentor QA engineers. The position is based in Sri Lanka and requires close collaboration with teams in Australia, focusing on release readiness and continuous improvement. Candidates should have significant experience in software QA, automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD integration, and team leadership.
Must have
- 6+ years in software QA, including at least 2 years leading a QA team or function.
- Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end and performance testing.
- Proficiency in SQL for database and data validation.
- Experience managing QA activities and release sign-off for SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop QA engineers.
- Strong problem-solving, defect analysis, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in the HealthTech domain, particularly healthcare software, EMR/EHR, or digital health platforms.
