About the role
The Data Protection Officer will serve as the main contact for all data protection matters within the Group, including communication with team members, regulators, and public authorities. The role involves ensuring compliance with PDPA requirements, designing and delivering training on data protection, conducting audits, recommending and supporting security tools, monitoring regulatory trends, and maintaining necessary records. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in data protection laws and strong communication skills.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a reputed group of companies.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the interpretation and application of data protection laws.
- Ability to work independently and effectively liaise with diverse teams across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
