Systems Administrator - Data Center
About the role
Eureka Technology Partners is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage server and infrastructure operations across their data center and client environments. The role involves maintaining physical servers, storage, and network equipment, managing virtual environments on Hyper-V and VMware, and installing and maintaining Windows and Linux web servers. The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for patching, hardening, backing up, and monitoring servers, acting as an escalation point for the support team, and documenting procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux, virtualization skills, solid networking knowledge, and scripting abilities. Must have
- A degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 or more years of hands on experience maintaining Windows Server and Linux in production, including web servers (IIS, Apache or Nginx)
- Virtualization skills on Hyper-V or VMware
- Experience with server hardware, RAID, storage and backup systems
- Solid networking knowledge: VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN and firewalls
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and Azure basics
- A working understanding of ITIL processes and ISO 27001 controls
- Scripting in PowerShell or Bash
- Clear written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-800 or AZ-801 (Windows Server Hybrid), or MS-102
- VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCSA or CCNA
- Security or governance certifications such as CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor, or ITIL 4 Foundation
- Google Workspace administration
- Exposure to AWS and Google Cloud
