Senior DevSecops Practice Consultant
About the role
The Senior DevSecOps Practice Consultant will lead customer advisory engagements, provide technical consulting, and drive professional services excellence for enterprise and mid-market clients adopting GitLab and related DevSecOps platforms. The role involves mentoring internal teams, developing training programs, and building reusable delivery assets to mature the DevSecOps Professional Services practice. Key responsibilities include conducting CXO-level consulting, designing enablement programs, and ensuring consistent project quality across the APAC region. Candidates should have significant experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or technical consulting, with advanced hands-on expertise in GitLab or similar platforms, and a strong technical background in CI/CD, cloud, and application security.
Must have
- 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Software Delivery, or Technical Consulting.
- 3+ years of advanced hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable platforms such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Bitbucket.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with senior business executives and delivering strategic technology consulting.
- Proven expertise in designing and delivering technical enablement and customer training programs.
- Strong technical background in: CI/CD Pipeline Design, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Docker & Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Good understanding of application security including SAST, DAST, SCA, Container Security, IaC Scanning, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and driving consulting excellence.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel across the APAC region for customer and partner engagements.
