Transport Engineer /Modeler/R&D

Must have

• A Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) which is recognized by the University Grants Commission. And A minimum of one (01) year post qualifying experience in the relevant field to the Post, after obtaining the first degree.
• A Degree in Transport Management & Logistics Engineering/Transport & Logistics Management/ Civil Engineering or any other degree relevant to the subject area of the post, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission. And A minimum of one (01) year post qualifying experience in the relevant field to the Post, after obtaining the first degree.
• A Degree in Transport Management & Logistics Engineering/Transport & Logistics Management/ Town & Country Planning /Data Science /Statistics /Environment /Development Studies / Urban Informatics & Planning or any other Degree relevant to the subject area of the post, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission. And A minimum of one (01) year post qualifying experience in the relevant field to the Post, after obtaining the first degree.
• A Degree in Transport Management & Logistic Engineering /Transport & Logistics Management /Data Science / Statistics/ Urban Informatics & Planning/ Town & Country Planning / Development Studies or any other Degree relevant to the subject area of the post, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• Applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the Island and should be excellent moral character.
• Age limit should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. (Maximum age limit will not be applicable to the internal candidates)
• Candidates from Government Departments or Statutory bodies should forward their applications through their respective heads of Department / Institutions.
• Recruitments will be made upon the performance of the applicants at the examination and/or a interview held.
• Commission will contribute 15% of the salary to EPF (Employees Provident Fund), and employee should be 10% to EPF and Commission will Contribute 3% to ETF (Employees Trust Fund), of the Salary & Contributory medical Aid Scheme.
• Applications prepared by the applicants having above mentioned qualifications, should be sent with copies of their educational, Professional and experience certificates, together with names and addresses of two non-related referees.
• Internal Candidates can also apply for the above mentioned post according to the approval of the SOR & SOP by Department of Management Services.
• The application sent must clearly note the post applied for on the top left-hand corner of the envelope, and sent by Register post to the Chairman, National Transport Commission, No. 241, Park Road, Colombo 05, to reach on or before 12.11.2026.
