Full-Stack Engineer (Python, React & AI Automation)
About the role
This role is for a Full-Stack Engineer with strong skills in Python and React, working on automation and AI-driven software for US businesses in property management, insurance, and financial services. The position involves building backend services and automation in Python (using Django, DRF, or FastAPI), developing production interfaces in React and TypeScript, designing workflow automations and data pipelines, and integrating with third-party systems. The engineer will also work with LLMs and AI agents as part of the product and use AI coding tools to accelerate development. The company is remote-first, with a senior-leaning, autonomy-heavy culture, and the engineering team is distributed. The role is fully remote for candidates based in Sri Lanka, with working hours aligned to US business needs. Compensation is in USD, with performance-based bonuses and incentives.
Must have
- 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong Python — backend services, automation, or data work
- Strong React — real production interfaces; TypeScript preferred
- Genuine fluency with AI tools — you use them daily, and you can tell when they're wrong
- A good grasp of how systems fit together: databases, APIs, services, queues
- Excellent English, spoken and written — you'll be in direct contact with US clients
- A real problem solver: someone who digs into why something is broken rather than trying things until it works

- Celery or other background-job systems; Redis; PostgreSQL / SQL Server
- Having built something with an LLM API — RAG, agents, structured extraction
- Browser automation (Selenium / Playwright)
