Senior Software Developer (Project Basis)
About the role
This is a contract-based Senior Software Developer role focused on delivering high-quality software products and leveraging AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, and engineering efficiency. The position involves collaborating with project managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, take ownership of features, and ensure robust, maintainable, and scalable software delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong programming fundamentals, experience with APIs and databases, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning, particularly in AI-assisted development. Must have
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in a professional software development or technology environment.
- Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of software development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, code review, and software design.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, integrations, and modern software development tools and frameworks.
- Good understanding of writing maintainable, scalable, secure, and efficient code.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to investigate technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to independently break down complex requirements and problems into manageable technical tasks.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and technical design appropriate to the projects being developed.
- Ability to estimate technical work, identify dependencies, and communicate technical risks and constraints clearly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, UI/UX designers, developers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take responsibility for technical outcomes.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced software development environment.
- Experience reviewing code and providing constructive technical feedback to other developers.
- Ability and willingness to mentor junior and associate developers.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as AI coding assistants or similar technologies.
- Ability to evaluate, test, and validate AI-generated code and technical recommendations.
- A continuous-learning mindset and interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI and its practical application to software development.
