Frontend Software Engineer
About the role
Orfium is seeking a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join their engineering team, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining the frontend platform and Chomestore extensions for their applications. The role involves collaborating with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver high-quality B2B platform features, building user-facing components in React, transforming wireframes into responsive interfaces, and supporting the development of a shared UI library. The position offers opportunities for technical growth, ownership, and working within a collaborative Agile environment supporting the global music industry.
Must have
- 3+ years of working experience in creating and maintaining software systems in production environments with JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with object-oriented development (e.g. Typescript, Javascript) and state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, MobX, Context API).
- Proficiency in HTML 5 and CSS 5, with an understanding of accessibility best practices.
- Ability to integrate with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of web performance optimization and usability best practices.
- Experience with front-end testing, debugging, and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, Vite).
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Expertise in React, Angular.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- UI/UX design skills or experience working closely with design teams
- Interest in exploring and adopting emerging AI technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Experience in monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog)
