Systems Engineer
About the role
The Systems Engineer position is aimed at recent graduates or individuals with foundational IT knowledge who are eager to develop their technical skills in systems administration and IT operations. The role involves assisting with the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT systems, servers, networks, and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems, monitoring system performance and security, troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts, supporting system updates and backups, and collaborating with senior engineers. The company seeks candidates with a diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a basic understanding of operating systems and networking, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Must have
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN concepts.
- Basic troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a team-oriented environment.
