Associate Quality Assurance Lead
About the role
Corzent is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Lead to guide a team in building quality into digital products, emphasizing automation while leveraging manual and exploratory testing where most valuable. The role involves owning and driving the test automation strategy, designing and scaling automation frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring engineers to develop their skills. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring QA and automation engineers, defining automation strategies, maintaining automation frameworks, coordinating with cross-functional teams, overseeing defect tracking, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes. Candidates should have a strong background in software quality engineering, hands-on automation experience, and leadership capabilities. Must have
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6+ years of industry experience in software quality engineering, with at least 2 years focused on test automation and at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification (Test Automation Engineer or Advanced Level is a plus).
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Solid programming skills in at least one language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
- A solid foundation in manual testing, including web, front-end, configuration, and database validation (SQL).
- Strong proficiency in test case management and the ability to develop comprehensive test plans.
- Experience with version control (Git) and working in Agile environments, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Experience with mobile test automation (e.g., Appium).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker).
- Experience using AI-assisted testing tools to speed up test creation and maintenance.
